Minecraft Snapshot 26.1.5: Aquatic Baby Mobs and Golden Dandelions
Minecraft has released Snapshot 26.1.5, which focuses on aquatic baby mobs and introduces the Golden Dandelion. The snapshot is available for download for Minecraft: Java Edition.
Aquatic Baby Mobs
Snapshot 26.1.5 remodels the baby variants of several aquatic mobs to have unique proportions. The following mobs have been updated:
- Dolphins
- Squids
- Glow Squids
- Turtles
- Axolotls
The bounding boxes for baby Squids, Glow Squids, and Axolotls have been increased to better fit the new models. Baby chickens also have new sounds.
Golden Dandelion
The Golden Dandelion is a new flower that can stop baby mobs from aging. Interacting with a baby mob while holding a Golden Dandelion will prevent it from aging. Interacting with a baby mob that has been stopped from aging with a Golden Dandelion will allow it to start aging again. The Golden Dandelion cannot be used on hostile baby mobs or villagers.
To craft a golden dandelion, the player needs one dandelion and eight gold nuggets. The dandelion is placed in the center of a crafting table, surrounded by the eight gold nuggets.

The snapshot also includes improvements to lighting and texture quality, reduces flickering, and increases default RAM allocation.
