Gurgaon Schools Receive Bomb Threat Emails

On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at least six to eight private schools in Gurgaon, India, received bomb threat emails, prompting evacuations and security checks. The threats were reported around 7:10 am, just as students were arriving.

Following the threats, school authorities contacted the police, and students who had arrived were sent back home. As a precaution, schools informed parents not to send their children to school, and online classes were scheduled.

Security Measures

Police and bomb disposal squads, along with sniffer dogs, were deployed to the school campuses to conduct search operations. SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) teams were also called in to assist. Intensive checks were carried out in classrooms, buildings, and surrounding areas.

As of now, no suspicious items or explosive materials have been recovered during the searches. Investigations are underway to trace the source of the emails.

  • Lancers International School, Sector 53
  • Heritage Experiential Learning School, Sector 64
  • Shiv Nadar School, DLF Phase-1
  • Shri Ram Aravali School
  • Pathways World School near Badshahpur
  • Sherwood Convent School

Heritage Xperiential Learning School issued a statement clarifying that the security alert was limited to its Sector 62 campus, while the Sector 64 campus remained secure and continued to function normally.
